Privacy Policy for Clippie AI

1. Your data stays on your device

Clippie was built with privacy as a core feature. The software runs 100% locally on your machine. We do NOT upload your video files to any cloud servers. We do NOT have access to your generated transcripts, audio, or exported clips. All AI processing (including Whisper transcription and silence removal) happens directly on your CPU/GPU.

2. What data is collected?

A. Website Analytics: Our website (clippie.tech) may use standard, anonymized analytics to see how many visitors we get.

B. Payment Processing: When you purchase the software, the transaction is handled securely by our Merchant of Record. We do not see or store your credit card information. They share your email address with us so we can send you your license key and software updates.

C. Contact Form: If you use the contact form on our website, the information you provide (Name, Email, Message) is processed securely and sent directly to our support inbox.

3. Third-party services

The software itself does not "phone home" with your personal files. It only connects to the internet to verify your license key upon setup and to download the initial open-source AI models (like Whisper) during the first installation.
